On Superbowl Sunday Entertainment Weekly broke the trailer for Ron Howard’s “Genius”, an upcoming biographical drama starring Oscar winning actor Geoffrey Rush and Johnny Flynn as the famed physicist, in his old age and youth, respectively. The National Geographic TV series is based on Walter Isaacson’s book Einstein: His Life and Universe, and follows the scientist from his difficult early days to the heights of his later career. We’ve got the trailer here, just in case you missed it. Look for “Genius” to premiere on April 25, 2017.

If you have an interest in science and its innovators, then you might have already read Isaacson’s other books, Benjamin Franklin, and Steve Jobs. Like these other books, Einstein: His Life and Universe is more than just an account of his life: It is an investigation of how Einstein thought and what made him the creative spirit that he was. Undoubtedly, “Genius” will explore the same territory.
